Bess of Hardwick Interest Day David Bostwick Tuesday 21 May 2019

A day of three lectures, exploring the life and remarkable ascent of Elizabeth Hardwick to the uppermost levels of English society. David will examine how one woman rose from an impoverished Derbyshire family to become one of the wealthiest and most powerful women in Tudor England.  Tutor - DAVID BOSTWICK - Consultant on historic buildings to the National Trust, English Heritage, Historic    Scotland and specialist in the Cultural History of the Medieval, Tudor and Stuart periods.

Venue - The Eliot Room, Constance Stewart Hall, Bishop Grosseteste University.  Registration and coffee from 10.00am.

The first lecture begins at 10.30am and the day finishes at 3.30pm. Cost - £46pp, including coffee, refreshments and a buffet lunch. Preference will be given to TASL members, with an extra £4 charge for non-members.
